Event held Annually at Rocky Fork State Park.
The Annual Rocky Fork Lake Fourth of July Parade, organized by the Rocky Fork Lake Business Advisory Committee, will be held July 4th. Lineup for the parade begins at 9 a.m. at Beechwood Pizza, located at 6501 Beechwood Lane, just off North Shore Drive with the parade to follow at 10am.
The best viewing areas approved for use are across from Bayview at Rocky Fork Lake (Bait Shop) or Red Barn Hardware. In previous years, the parade has hosted more than 100 entries with free candy during the parade for the children.
Any group or organization that would like to enter the parade can pick up a registration form at any of the following locations: Buckeye Boat Repair, Rustic Cabin, Bayview Campground and Cottages, Beechwood Pizza, and Rocky Fork Boat Rental. You can also contact John Ingersoll, parade coordinator, at buckeyeboatrepair@yahoo.com or 937-763-3959.
Groups will be able to register until the parade begins. All parade entries will need to check in and/or register upon arrival. Registering in advance is encouraged. As in year’s past, the top three most patriotic entrants will receive a cash prize. Businesses, nonprofit organizations, youth groups and individuals are encouraged to participate in the parade.
*Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Recreation programs and activities can be inherently dangerous. Participants accept and acknowledge that any injury or property damage that occurs during a program or activity is not the responsibility of ODNR or its naturalist educators.
