Located right in between Rocky Fork State Park and Paint Creek State Park in southeastern Highland County is the Highlands Nature Sanctuary; a distinctive area of beautiful forest in the Appalachian foothills. Tourists can learn all about the surrounding environment within the Appalachian Forest Museum. This includes the wildlife, the vegetation, and one of the most well known tourist attraction of Highland County: Seven Caves!
